Weirdies Supporting Weirdies!

Check out these epic cosplays! I loved his answers as well.

What is your name?

Mark Wesker

When did you start cosplaying?

I started in 2007 after having participated in the biggest comics expo in Italy.

Why did you start cosplaying?

I started because I was fascinated by how fantasy characters could come to life.

Who are your cosplay idols?

There are a lot of cosplayers I admire, but I do not adore any of them.

What type of cosplays do you do?

I try not to set limits, if there is a character that I like I interpret it regardless of its origin.

What are your favorite cosplays?

My favorite is and will always remain Albert Wesker, is my idol and I’m really happy to be able to interpret it.

What is something you want to cosplay but probably never will?

I would like to play Corypheus of Dragon Age, but I think I will never succeed.

What do you love about cosplay?

I love the fact that as far as a cosplay is difficult, someone always finds a way to do it.

What is the most difficult thing for you about cosplay?

The hardest thing for me is to keep hard, sometimes working on a costume is really difficult but I always try not to be discouraged.

Who is your favorite character to cosplay?

Even here, my answer is always Albert Wesker, I have adopted my stage name just to pay tribute to him.

Where do you get your inspiration for your cosplays?

I find inspiration from what I see, like movies, video games or books.

What are your “fandoms”?

I have many, in video games my favorites are Resident Evil, Metal Gear and Final Fantasy, to name a few, but I would say that my favorite is the Fantasy genre.

What is something you wish beginning cosplayers knew?

Never let anyone tell you that you are not up to it, criticism should be accepted when they are constructive and not when they are offensive.

What tips do you have for other cosplayers?

Take it easy, no one is perfect, but with time and practice you can get excellent results.

What is something you wish non-cosplayers knew?

Unfortunately the cosplay is a hobby still very unseen by so many people, instead should realize that there is absolutely nothing strange in what we do.

What cosplays are you working on?

For the next year I have many scheduled, some are Sorceress Adel of FFVIII, a male version of Hela of Thor Ragnarock and Sosuke Aizen of Bleach.

What cosplays do you want to do if money and time were no object?

That’s a good question, I think if money wasn’t a problem I would build a life-size Metal Gear.

Where can people find your cosplays?

I have a Instagram profile that I use a lot and I keep updated with my latest cosplay, here’s the link

Please remember I do not own any of these pictures and the opinions in this survey belong to the interviewee.
