Weirdies Supporting Weirdies!

Weirdie Spotlight – Author Michelle L. Casto

I met this great weirdie on a Facebook group and joined hers (link below if you want to join us). She is so positive and has a rest view on life. I hope you enjoy getting to know her as much as I have.

Michelle L. Casto, Author and Empowerment Coach and Self-Empowerment Author

ISO: Tell us about yourself.

MLC: I’d like to share with the audience of fellow weird people, that the original meaning of the word “weird” is one who knows or accepts her fate/destiny in life.  So be weird. Know yourself, and most importantly, honor what you know.

ISO: What is your favorite sweet?

MLC: Dark chocolate….has to be 80% or so in order to for it to be tasty!

ISO: When did you get started writing?

MLC: I remember entering a writing contest in the 4th grade or so.  It was called “Dirty Dawg” –I spelled Dog like that on purpose. From my recollection, I definitely did not win any awards for it.

ISO: How did you know you wanted to be a writer? How did you get started?

MLC: My first book came out in 1999, and it was inspired by my desire to understand the subject at the time:  romantic relationships. I once had a psychic tell me I was going to be a writer and at first I didn’t believe him, but then not even 2 years later, I was writing my first book.

ISO: Who is your favorite author?

MLC: My absolute favorite is Marianne Williamson because she is so wise, eloquent and transformative in her writing. Her book, A Woman’s Worth helped get me through my divorce. I never knew that I truly had worth until that book.

ISO: What is your most recent book? Tell us a bit about it.

MLC: This book was written because I wanted to find a way to heal a broken heart. It is dedicated to the wounded empaths out there who are still suffering. It’s called Heart Empowerment for Empaths:  Inner Alchemy to Let Go of Emotional Baggage and become Loving, Empowered and Free.

ISO: Tell us something we might find interesting about you.

MLC: Something interesting about me is that I have a dozen books on Amazon, including a poetry collection. I consider myself a learner more than anything and write about what I want to KNOW about. You could track my spiritual awakening journey by the books that I have written.

ISO: Do you have a daily or weekly writing schedule, or do you write only when you are inspired? How many words or pages do you complete in a typical day?

MLC: I am flow writer and write when I am inspired. Lucky for me, my muse is very strong and so when I am writing a book, I really get into it. I don’t have to force myself to sit down.

ISO: What is the best advice you could give other writers about writing or publishing?

MLC: The best books come from a calling, so allow your deepest passion to do the writing.  Be willing to also build a tribe, and be visible, so that marketing the book is much easier.

ISO: Who is the perfect reader for your book?

MLC: My ideal reader is a sensitive soul, or empath that still has some emotional wounds that are blocking them from feeling loving and happy.  They are fed up with feeling disheartened and are ready to transform from the core level, to truly find the courage to move past the past and find happiness in the present moment.

ISO: Where can readers learn more about you and your book?

MLC: I have a “Facebook studio” for Creative Women called Ecstatic Wise Women Creating on Purpose.

The book is on but you don’t have to have a Kindle to read it:
